How NAGARIK works
Every report is checked before it becomes an alert, so what reaches you is about what's really happening nearby.
A person nearby shares what they see with a photo and location. Their name and number are never shown.
AI merges duplicate reports and checks each one. Serious incidents are reviewed by a person before any alert goes out.
People within the distance they choose get an alert in English or Hindi, and can follow updates as they come in.

Advisories from verified police and municipal accounts carry the Verified by NAGARIK seal. Nobody else can use it.

Hidden location data is removed from every photo before it is stored.

No. NAGARIK keeps you informed about what is happening nearby. In an emergency, call 112.
How are incidents checked?
AI groups duplicate reports and checks each one for spam and misinformation. Serious incidents are reviewed by a person before an alert is sent.
Will people see who reported an incident?
No. Your name, phone number and exact location are never shown, and location data is removed from your photos.
Does NAGARIK cost anything?
